DEFINITIONS
"Pavilion" refers to the property let out by the proprietor;
"Customer", "you", "your", "hirer" refers to the person(s) making the booking;
"Proprietor", "us", "we" refers to Nicholas Groves-Raines and Kristin Hannedottir, trading as Groves-Raines Architects Ltd.
ARRIVAL AND CHECK IN TIMES
The pavilion is available from 3.00PM on day of arrival until 10.00AM on day of departure [The Company reserves the right to charge for an additional days hire for unauthorised departures after this time]. If you require to arrive/depart outwith these times, please let us know as soon as possible in order that we can make suitable arrangements. This also applies if you feel you may arrive after 10.00PM
RESERVATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS
A reservation only becomes confirmed when the deposit is received. Reservations are for stay of 3 nights or more and must be secured by a deposit of 20% of the holidays cost with the balance being received no later than 14 days prior to arrival. During the Peak period 20th December to the 3rd January, the minimum booking period is 7 days. Late availability holidays must be paid in full to secure a reservation. Should you need to cancel for any reason you will forfeit a portion of your payment as follows:
Greater than 2 weeks prior to your arrival: Deposit forfeited
Up to 2 weeks prior to your arrival: 80% refunded
Up to 1 week prior to your arrival: 60% refunded
Please note that the advertised prices are for accommodation only, and that any additional activities - such as wedding receptions etc - must be agreed in advance with us and that this will incur an additional charge.
DISCLAIMER
Payments are accepted by us in good faith and in the belief that the pavilion will be placed at your disposal for the type and dates stated. If for any reason this is not possible through operational reasons or circumstances not under the control of the proprietor we will try make every effort to contact you as early as possible and refund any price booking costs and deposit where appropriate and as such you will have no claim against the proprietors. The proprietors reserve the right to alter or amend the facilities or amenities available without prior notice. The brochure is as accurate as possible but cannot be warranted, nor do the descriptions form any contract. We reserve the right to alter or improve any of the subjects without notice.
PETS
We can accept assistance dogs only.
PARKING
One car may be parked in our gated car park. However, we cannot accept liability for loss, damage or theft which occurs to the users vehicle or any property left inside, whilst on the premises. There is also ample non-metered on-street parking available in the immediate area. No bikes are to be taken into the Pavilion, however, a bike stand is available in the courtyard.
CLEANING/DAMAGES
We require that the pavilion should be left in a clean and tidy condition and that should any items be accidentally broken or damaged that you notify the proprietors as soon as possible. The proprietors reserve the right to deduct the cost of making good damages or for excessive cleaning from the Hirer’s credit/debit card account for a period of not more than 7 days after departures. A "good housekeeping" deposit of £500.00 will be requested on bookings. No payment will be processed unless any damage occurs to the property during your stay. You will indemnify the Proprietors against loss, damage or injury sustained to the property or persons as a result of any breach of these conditions or arising from the fault of you or any member of your party.
OCCUPANCY
The number of people occupying the hired lodge must not exceed numbers stated on booking. The contract confers on you a right to occupy the accommodation for a holiday only and, in terms of section 12 (schedule 4, paragraph 8) of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988 is not an ‘assured tenancy’.We must be advised of final numbers of guests. We regret we are unable to make a refund if your party size is reduced as the booking as taken based on the price of the leasing the full property. regardless of actual inhabitant numbers.
USE OF ACCOMMODATION
The customer must personally stay at the accommodation throughout the booking. He/she is solely responsible for the whole party. The hired property shall be used solely for holiday purposes and the Hirer shall not sub-let the property. The pavilion may not be used for parties or gatherings, whether planned or impromptu, involving more than the insured capacity of the pavilion.
NOISE LEVELS
We ask you to bear in mind that the pavilion is located in a largely residential area, and as such we ask that you respect the peace and quiet of the area at all times. For this reason we do not allow music to be played outside of the pavilion or audible from the within the pavilion.
HIRER AND HIRER’S PROPERTY
As far as the law allows, we takes no responsibility for loss, damage or injury to you or any of your party as a consequence of this agreement or the occupancy following thereon. No liability is accepted by the proprietors for loss or damage to hired or your property, baggage, car etc., however caused nor for any accident or mishap to persons whilst on the premises. The proprietor reserves the right to refuse admission of persons or pets that in the opinion of the proprietor is/are not suitable to take charge or are causing a disturbance. In the event of termination of a let a refund of any un-expired portion of rent will be made.
SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted on the property
CONTRACT
No contract exists between us unless your deposit payment has cleared and you have received a booking confirmation letter by post or by email. When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email to the email address you provide in the booking form.
Every effort has been made to ensure that you have an enjoyable holiday. If, however, you have cause for complaint, we are anxious that remedial action is taken as quickly as possible. Please contact the Proprietors or their representative as soon as possible so that they can take action or investigate and resolve the problem. You should not feel reluctant to complain if you are dissatisfied with some aspect of your accommodation.
The acceptance of your reservation confirms your acceptance of the above terms & conditions, payment, and cancellation policy. This is a legal agreement which is binding.
